i had the option to hand draft or use cad for some housing plans for my dad. since i'm not pro at cad i decided it would be just as fast and a lot more exciting to use my drafting table. so i got it rigged back up with my parallel bar and all the other accoutrements. so far so good.
I was born on a drafting board. My father was a draftsman. We put old compass's and various small drafting tools on his gravestone. I had no intention of becoming a draftsman, but when I was ten projects ahead of everyone else in class, did additional assignments and was asked to help the other kids in class, well, I figured it really was in my blood. I became a draftsman by trade and it is the one area where you learn the construction of everything your company makes. From there, what can't you do? So I did move into sales and international sales. Now though, I need to learn how to draw a small part - larger. Something I never learned in all my years. dmh@studiohconsulting.com
